Municipal
Tourist Information Center - is located in 15 Stary Rynek Street. It was the
middle of July 2003 when it began functioning in its new form.
The City Council of Bydgoszcz authorized Kolfer Tourist Company with the
support from Pomeranian Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management to be
responsible for establishment of the center.
CIT (Polish abbr.) is partly financed by the City Council grants and
financial resources of KOLFER Company.
The center is open from 9.00 a.m. until 6.00 p.m. from Monday
through Friday and from 9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. on Saturdays. Any information may as well

The center is available for citizens of Bydgoszcz as well as for local and foreign
tourists and provides information and assistance in the fields of:
- Complex tourist information involving the city of Bydgoszcz and neighboring areas of
Kujawy-Pomorze region.
- Basic information concerning other tourist regions of Poland
- Information about local cultural, economical and sports events
- Assistance and guidance in the field of tourism and recreation
Moreover, it aims at:
- Promoting tourist attractions of the city of Bydgoszcz and the whole region in local and
foreign markets in cooperation with the City Council
- Establishing a professional database of local attractions with the assistance of the
City Council.
- Providing internet resources including efficient information and regularly updated
catalogue of tourist offers concerning the region.
- Exchanging information with other local, country and international centers.
- Editing and publishing professional information materials, in cooperation with the City
Council.
- Representing the city while taking part in various tourist fares and exhibitions in the
country and abroad.
- Monitoring and analyzing local tourism
- Initiating various projects, in cooperation with the City Council, aiming at development
of tourism in the region
- Taking care of the city image
- Animating cultural, sports and educational life of Bydgoszcz citizens
- Enhancing the citizens’ initiative concerning the city and regional development
- Cooperation with similar organizations aiming at related goals
- Offering other services making a tourist’s stay more attractive: selling or giving
souvenirs, etc.
